The first thing you should know is that every food
falls into a food category or group. There are 5
categories of food group: carbohydrate, fruit and
vegetables, protein, dairy and fats and sugars.
A balanced diet means eating not too much of one
type of food group, but making sure you eat from
all the food categories every day. If you eat 10
chocolate bars every day this is not a balanced diet,
but if you eat nothing but apples every day this
isn't healthy either! |
